Towards the end of May we ended up going to the Dallas Tattoo Convention! Kind of terrifying getting tattoo in front of a bunch of people walking by but it actually turned out to help! Everyone was very curious about the tattoo I was getting and being really encouraging. My tattoo ended up taking about 7 hours :’) I was like 30 minutes in and was really wondering how I was gonna make it through for 7 hours, so I convinced myself that it wouldn’t actually take that long and chewed on a star (star shaped thing that I probably was not supposed to chew on). I would say the black handle part was the worst part but the absolute worst was the yellow 🙃 it was the most painful and bled the most it looked more orange red than yellow 😭

I’ve been reading Felix and Marzia’s Newsletter, which also inspired me to write my own even though my life is much less exciting than living in Japan. Inside one of the most recent ones was this cake recipe! Now it was supposed to be a Sakura Cake but obviously Sakura doesn’t grow on trees in the middle of Texas. I went to like 5 different Asian food markets trying to find anything Sakura and I was still really surprised to find nothing! Not a singular thing even remotely Sakura….So instead I grabbed strawberry and coconut flavoring and just replaced the Sakura with that! It ended up tasting really good except when I put the strawberry flavoring into the frosting trying to dye it and it was way too much flavoring. Other than that it was great!

That is about it so far! Mainly focusing on work and the many projects I throw myself into there lol. Also working on some personal projects that maybe I’ll get to show off and talk about soon! Have a great June :)
